One more thing happened on May 5th - National Scrapbooking Day (NSD)! I didn't realize it until I got an email from one of the digi scrapbook websites and they were having a contest. The only rules were that you had to use a kit from their website and it had to fit into one of three categories:
1. Digital layout
2. Hybrid (digital and paper)
3. Card (mostly digital)
I decided to enter for the first time ever. All of the other entries were photos of kids, adults, etc. so I went with something completely different...BUGS! I had two photos from last summer of a great butterfly in the yard and a huge praying mantis on the deck. It took me awhile to enlarge the head of the bug to fit in the magnifying glass so it looked like the head and body were still attached to each other. The contest ends at midnight tonight and at the moment there are 15 other entries. Here's my finished product.
