Signs of Spring

Here are the boys in front of our ornamental cherry tree last week. We had snow and cherry blooms in the same month this year - how strange!
Matthew had baseball practice tonight and got his uniform - at least they made it easy for me - both of the boys are #7. Matthew's team is the Athletics and Andrew's team is the Nationals.
I think I am going to use this blog to capture information that I have always wanted to remember but never had a place to put it. Like a list of all of the concerts Mark and I have been to (both separately and together), maybe a list of all of the places I have lived or visited. We'll see how ambitious I am.

Pre-school Graduation

It's hard to believe that Andrew is finishing pre-school, next thing you know it will be high school. Here's a sneak peak at Graduation coming in June...

Also have to give equal billing to last year's pre-school grad Matthew!

Baseball

The boys have started T-ball and Cal-ball, two practices each week x two boys, and one game on Saturday. That's 6+ hours out of an already busy schedule, but it's only for 6 weeks. Andrew was very upset that Matthew's coach called first, then Matthew was upset because Andrew got his uniform first. A picture is forthcoming if I can ever get the two of them together in uniform.

Strange weather in Maryland the latter part of the week, rain, thunderstorms, etc. so the fields were closed Friday night and Saturday. Andrew has bilateral ear infections and allergies and was not up for the classmates birthday party today - so all scheduled events for the weekend canceled. What to do? I did get flowers and herbs planted and drove Little Red Car a bit. Mark took some time off yesterday and had sushi for lunch on his own (yuck!)

Fourth of July, 2004

Here is the latest and greatest scrapbook page - I'm catching up from 2004! This is the cutest parade photo taken while we still had dry clothes. It rained the rest of the day until right before the fire works started. Andrew was 2.

Welcome

Welcome to the world of blogs, I finally caved in and decided this was the best way to communicate with family and friends, share photos, and keep a log of the comings and goings of The Smithereens. More to come...
