We had a really great day yesterday checking out the new home of the Washington Nationals. It is a really great stadium and while I didn't experience it first hand, Mark said they are still working out a few kinks in the food service areas. I was just impressed with the warm water in the restrooms on a chilly spring day.
We took the Metro to the ball park (extra $16 but the boys love the train). Best of all, Mark was one seat away from the DC Lottery Lucky Seat game. They ask fans a trivia question and you get a pack of Nats stuff. The TV camera man and group hung out through the first inning and we all got a chance to be on the big screen (did I mention that the entire score board is more than 4300 square feet?!?!?). I didn't catch our picture then, but look who's sitting next to the "Lucky Seat"...
The "Presedential Race" was really funny!
Cherry Trees are in partial bloom.
They never gave any updates on the Washington Capitals game during the baseball game but Mark was actually excited they lost! This means the upcoming Saturday game will definitely happen and Mark has a ticket in the 2nd row behind the Caps bench - I never thought I would say this about a hockey game, but I'm jealous!!!
